Every screenplay starts with a concept. Learn how to determine whether your story is screenplay worthy, and how to use genre to launch your career.  Learn ‘what’ to write to attract producers and agents to your work.

Theme with Ruth Atkinson

Join your fellow writers for a three course meal as you lunch and learn from a panel of agents and managers.  You will have a chance to network with your fellow writers over a delicious meal, and there will be 2-3 professional staff writers from various tv shows seated at each table to join you.  Then Agents and Managers from some of the top companies in the business will discuss some of the strategies you can use to get representation, and how an agent or manager can help you to build your career.

This luncheon is only available to those who have purchased a full day Career In A Day session.

Legally Speaking with Larry Zerner

This is a power class on what every screenwriter needs to know to protect themselves legally.  Learn what you need to know before signing an option agreement, and how to get the rights to a story you want to adapt.  Protect yourself and your script with this legal intensive session so that you have a basic understanding of what you must know to be a professional screenwriter.

Pitching with Bob Schultz

What are the secret ingredients of every great pitch?  Make sure you identify your genre, title, a relatable protagonist, their goal, and the obstacles in their way.  Tell us how your character changes and what they learn, and you have decorated your pitch with the frosted cream icing that every producer loves.  If you have never pitched before and are worried about what to do, give yourself the gift of confidence by taking this class and you will be an expert by the time you have finished.
