Comic Characters & Comic Storytelling with John VorhausOnline
Class Begins: 02/29/2016 Ends: 02/29/2016
Class Time: 8:00 pm - echo date("g:i a", strtotime($class['class_end_time'])); ?> (CET)
In this session we’ll be covering comic characters – what makes them funny and what makes them tick. We’ll be looking at:
- The comic perspective
- Cherished belief
Armed with this information, you can easily discover how your characters are funny, and also reliably predict what they will do in any situation. To understand what those situations are, we’ll take a look at the many types of comic stories available to us, including:
- Fish out of water
- Comic opposites
- Center and eccentrics
We’ll also look at some simple storytelling shortcuts like the arc of change, the arc of stability, and the attitude map. After this webinar, you’ll be fully equipped you to create your own comic world, populate it with strong comic characters, and set them loose in story.
