Open Set is part of GoKinema's hands on approach in creating and sharing the innovative process of how films are made. One script is interpreted by three different teams of directors and cinematographers to be shot in front of a live studio audience, edited, and then brought to the silver screen. Over the past years, established writers such as John Ajvide Lindqvist (Let the Right One In) and Ulf Kvensler (Solsidan) have contributed their talent to GoKinema. For 2015, Gothenburg Film Studios asks for the opportunity to see what you have.

Winner will have the opportunity to come to Open Set 2015 to meet the filmmakers, be part of the creative process and celebrate at the big GoKinema after party. Travel and accommodation will be provided by Gothenburg Film Studios.

Previous talents behind the camera include the Academy Award winner Phillip Rousselot (Sherlock Holmes, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Big Fish), Academy Awards nominees Robert Fraisse (The Notebook, Seven Years in Tibet) and Charlote Bruus Christensen (The Hunt, Det Andet Liv), as well as Camerimage Special Award winner Eric Kress (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo / Män Som Hatar Kvinnor).

“I've not done that before, I've not seen that before. And the idea to shoot the same script in totally different ways is a really unique thing. There's nothing that combines all of it anywhere else,” said the internationally acclaimed cinematographer Geoff Boyle (Dark Country, About a Girl) after working on the Open Set.

Deadline is November 19th. Don't miss this opportunity - your script written today, could be on the big screen in January.
