The Southern California Screenplay Competition is based in San Diego, California. It was set up with the intention of discovering fresh, new writing talent. There are many undiscovered storytellers who have a voice, but that voice is never heard. We want to create a platform where the screenwriters of tomorrow have a place to showcase their talent, today.

It is important to us that we establish a good relationship with all the writers who submit to our contest. That is why every writer from North America will receive a phone call before we read their work to find out more about their background as a screenwriter and the script(s) they have sent us.

We have assembled a team of professional script readers to narrow down our search to find original, entertaining stories, written by visionary storytellers.

Once the finalists have been announced, the winners will be selected by a panel of five judges who are all established, experienced industry professionals. We look forward to reading your stories!
