After winning an invitation to Sundace via a 2nd place finish in the ISA sponsored Table Read My Screenplay contest, Travis Opgenorth's 'The Poacher' has placed 2nd in the ScreenCraft Action/Thriller contest.
Travis Opgenorth's Pilot, Kingdom of God, Best in Category
Travis Opgenorth's historical drama, Kingdom of God was recently announced as the Best In Category winner in the 2015 NexTvEntertainment Writing Contest. This marks the fourth notable finish for the teleplay as it also finished as the 1st Runner Up in the People's Pilot Contest and had two quarter-finalist finishes in the Stage 32 Happy Writers and PAGE International contests.
Triple-Triple to Close Out the Summer
With three scripts in three different formats each advancing in three separate contests, summer goes out like a lion for Travis Opgenorth. Among the recent WeTv Quarterfinalists is Travis' historical drama Kingdom of God. Meanwhile, his action feature, Ranger Creed, marches into the Finish Line Screenplay Contest Semifinals, and his short script, Before Dishonor, also slices its way into the Semifinals of the SoCal Screenplay Contest.
Travis Opgenorth's thriller 'The Poacher' Hits The Mark
Travis Opgenorth's African set action-thriller feature 'The Poacher' just bagged the 2nd place prize in the Table Read My Screenplay (Park City) contest. The script also knotched a semi-finalist finish in the Wescreenplay Diverse Voices contest and it's a semi-finalist in the Screencraft Action/Thriller contest with those final results still pending.
Travis Opgenorth's 'Ranger Creed' optioned and 'The Poacher' hits the mark.
Producer David Harris (Security (2017)) has entered into a shopping agreement with Travis Opgenorth for his contest-winning action-thriller 'Ranger Creed'. This is the second feature to be shopped around for Travis as Partner In Crime Films (Knuckle Draggers) had previously optioned his contained actioner 'Day of Reckoning' in 2012. Travis is currently in discussions with Sixth Sense Productions (Hotel Rwanda, The First Grader) regarding a potential writing assignment. Sixth Sense reached out to Travis after reading his recently completed action-thriller, 'The Poacher', which was written while Travis participated in Max Timm's Master Class.

Ranger Creed continues its contest circuit success by finishing in the Capital Fund Screenplay Contest's Hot 100.
Travis Opgenorth's Pilot 'Kingdom of God' moves to WeTV Semifinals
Travis Opgenorth's most recent TV pilot project, 'Kingdom of God', has advanced to the semifinals of the WeTV Pilot Competition.
Feedback on the script has been strong, as it has received a "Recommend" via WeScreenplay's coverage service and a "Highly Consider" from Script Shark prior to them closing up shop earlier this month.

took home a Finalist finish at the 2015 Twisted Horror Picture Show. A feature-length version of the story previously clawed its way to a Finalist finish in the 2012 Scream Fest Film Festival and The Beverly Hills Film Festival and Quarterfinalist finishes in the Stage 32 New Blood and PAGE Awards contests that same year.

Travis Opgenorth Dreams of Better Things with Chimera
Travis Opgenorth's feature thriller, Chimera, finished 3rd in the 2014 Story Pros Awards Screenwriting Contest. The script placed in five of the six contests it was entered in with semi-finalist or quarter-finalist finishes in the Writemovies.com, PAGE Awards, Austin Film Festival, and Final Draft's Big Break contests.

The We Screenplay International Screenwriting Competition just announced their Semifinalists, and Travis Opgenorth's Ranger Creed is among them.

Ranger Creed Wins Best Action/Adventure
It's "mission accomplished" for Travis Opgenorth's Ranger Creed as it takes home another prize. This time it's the best feature script in the action/adventure category from the Nashville Film Festival.

Travis Opgenorth's latest feature, Ranger Creed, has moved up to #19 on The Black List's (Month to Date) Top Screenplay List. One evaluator had this to say of the script, "Strong dialogue and scene-writing make this a polished, production-ready piece. This thrilling, emotionally charged story has massive potential and could turn into a real commercial hit in the right hands." Ranger Creed is Travis' third feature in as many years with his two previous works, Chimera and Gridiron, taking home fourteen top placings between them including a 3rd Place finish in the Story Pros Awards Contest, and a Semi-Finalist finish in the Nicholl Fellowship Contest respectively.
