After winning the Science Fiction/Fantasy/Horror category at this year's StoryPros Awards, Cover Crop was announced as a screenplay finalist at the inaugural GenreBlast Film Festival in Culpeper, VA.

'Cover Crop,' Jeffrey Howe's Sci-Fi mystery screenplay, took top honors at the 2017 Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival in January and at the 12th SoCal Independent Film Fest this month. His Depression-era short horror script 'Medicine Show Blues' was named Best Short Screenplay as well at the SoCal Independent Film Fest, and Best Short Horror Script at The Magic of Horror Screenplay Competition.
Robo4ce a finalist again for Jeffrey Howe
The screenplay for Robo4ce was a finalist at the Canada International Film Festival in Vancouver. This comes after it won Best Feature Screenplay at the SoCal Film Festival and the fantasy/animation category at Table Read My Screenplay (Park City) earlier this year.

Robo4ce received Best Feature Screenplay honors at this year's SoCal Film Festival in Huntington Beach, CA. This came soon after it took the top spot in the Family category at the Beverly Hills Screenplay Contest and was the Finalist for the Animation/Fantasy category at this year's Table Read My Screenplay (Park City) competition.

Jeffrey Howe's family screenplay Robo4ce continued its string of contest successes, advancing to the Quarterfinals of the 2016 Fade In Awards after taking First Place at the American Movie Awards in the first-time screenwriters category. Jeffrey Howe's family screenplay Robo4ce took fifth place in the First-time Writer category at the 2015 London Film Awards. The high-tech underdog story has now won or placed in five screenplay competitions since June, and is a contending finalist in the Final Draft Big Break contest's family/animation category.

Jeffrey Howe is one of three remaining finalists in the Family/Animated category of this year's Big Break Screenwriting Contest, sponsored by Final Draft. Robo4ce, his first screenplay, has won or placed in three previous contests so far this year, including top honors in the Family/Teen/Animation category at the StoryPros Awards and First Place overall in the 2015 Contest of Contest Winners.

Robo4ce, Jeffrey Howe's first screenplay, placed highly in the Family division of the 2015 LA Screenplay Contest this November.
This is the fourth set of laurels so far this year for Robo4ce, the story of a smart-but-shy eighth grade girl who learns self-confidence through a national robotics league, even as her coach recovers from emotional wounds his own mentor in the league left on him. It previously took the top spot in the 2015 StoryPros Awards (family), the Grand Prize (family) at the 2015 Hollywood Screenplay Contest, and was the overall winner of the 2015 Contest of Contest Winners.
Robo4ce is currently a finalist in the 2016 Final Draft Big Break contest.
