SUTTLE ADVANCES TO SEMIFINALS IN NASHVILLE FILM FESTIVAL SCRIPT COMPETITION Courtney Suttle added to his list of acheivements for his script Fire on Ice, advancing to the semifinals in the Historical Feature category in the Nashville Film Festival 2016 Screenwriting Competition. Other awards for Fire on Ice include Second Runner Up, Best Script Award at the 2015 Beverly Hills Film Festival, Award of Excellence, 2015 NYLA International Film Festiva,l and an Award of Merit, 2015 Los Angeles Cinema Festival of Hollywood. In addition Fire on Ice was selected as one of three Finalists for the 2015 West Field Screenwriting Awards and named a Quarterfinalist in the 2015 WeScreenplay International Screenwriting Competition. Fire on Ice tells the true story of legendary speed skater Irving Jaffee, the first Jewish athlete to win gold in the Winter Olympics of 1928 and 1932. SUTTLE WINS RIVER SCROLL AWARD AT 2016 SILENT RIVER SCREENPLAY COMPETITION

Courtney Suttle won the River Scroll Award for Best Feature Screenplay for Fire on Ice in the 2016 Silent RIver Scrennplay Competition. Fire on Ice was also a Finalist in the Historical category at the 2016 Nashville Film Festival. Fire on Ice tells the true story of record setting speedskater Irving Jaffee, who fought his teammates, his country and the world to become the first Jewish athlete in history to win a Gold medal during the Winter Olympics of 1928 and 1932.

 

In addition, Suttle's scripted series, Lottery, was chosen as a Finalist in the Sundance Institute/YouTube New Voices Lab.
