Program Benefits

Burbank, California is the Media Capital of the World, and it's headquarters to more than a thousand entertainment and media companies, including Warner Bros., The Walt Disney Company, Cartoon Network Studios and Nickelodeon. The Burbank International Film Festival will celebrate its 15 Year Anniversary in 2023 and continues its primary mission of fostering an enduring creative spirit and promoting up-and-coming artists in the center of the entertainment industry. Burbank possesses a rich history of movie making magic where you can dine in the same restaurant booth where Michael Mann shot "Heat" or stay in the same Hotel room where "True Romance" was filmed. Burbank provides a unique film festival experience, because filmmakers showcase their movies in the exact same AMC 16 Theaters where Robert Pattinson attended the premiere of "Batman" and Austin Butler/Baz Lurhman surprised audiences with their appearance at a screening of "Elvis".

BIFF's schedule of films comprises cinema of every genre, so there's something for everyone to enjoy. BIFF also continues to introduce new Awards categories to honor the talented craftspeople behind the scenes. The four-day festival includes 130+ film screenings; Q&A's featuring celebrities and industry professionals; fabulous red carpet receptions; audience awards; and informative panels. BIFF culminates with the Closing Night Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony which is the highlight of the Festival. We shine a light on the unknown artists of today, helping them become the celebrated filmmakers of tomorrow.
