Program Description

The Imaginarium Convention, now in its 12th year, will take place July 18-20, 2025 in Louisville, Kentucky.  The Imaginarium Convention awards a series of literary and film awards annually, including awards for non-produced screenplays of all genres in both short and feature-length formats.  These screenplay awards are also part of our renowned Imadjinn Awards, a comprehensive series of writing awards.

Program Benefits

Awards will be issued in both feature length and short format categories, with three runner-up awards in each category, as part of our Imadjinn Awards and our Film Festival Awards.  The announcement of winners and presentation of trophies will take place at Imaginarium 2025 during the awards ceremony the evening of Saturday, July 19th. 

All finalists receive a full weekend Event Ticket to the Imaginarium Convention, valued at $150, giving access to all panel and workshop programming, events, and activities. 

The Imaginarium Convention provides a host of networking, developmental, and educational opportunities designed to benefit creatives of all experience levels.

Q. When will finalists be announced?

A. All Finalists will be announced by June 10th, 2025, and they will be listed on the Imaginarium Convention Website.

 

Q. Does it cost anything for a finalist to attend the Imaginarium Convention?

A. No, all finalists will receive one full-weekend Event Ticket, complimentary. Finalists will also be able to purchase up to three additional full-weekend Event Tickets at a 50% discount rate for those they wish to bring to the event with them. 

 

Q. If I win but am not present at the Awards Banquet, how can I get my trophy?

A. Winners not present at the Awards Banquet can choose to have their trophies shipped with reimbursement of shipping cost to the Imaginarium Convention. 

Rules

Submission Requirements

(1) Screenplays must be included with all submissions in PDF (preferred) or Word document formats.

(2) All submitted screenplays must not have been previously produced.

(3) You may submit more than one screenplay.

(4) If you are under the age of 18, a legal guardian must submit for you.
