SERVICE DESCRIPTION

We are excited to announce our latest consultation service for writers. The ISA Accelerator is a comprehensive set of notes and meetings.

This service is perfect for advanced writers whoare taking on complex and challenging projects that require a higher quality of commentary or simply want their material held to the highest standard of examination.

The ISA Accelerator provides:

  • An Executive-Level Screenplay Analysis
    • One page of general commentsgiving a broad view of how your material might be received.
    • Multiple pages examining specific story elementsthat could be improved. Each script receives a unique list of elements tailored to the project’s needs and potential.
    • A new loglinecomposed by the Story Executive in charge of the ISA’s Logline Review Service.
    • A one-page plot synopsis, a highly useful tool for examining your overall narrative and pitching to professionals.
  • A Meeting with Two Story Executives
    • Both Story Executives will meet with you via Zoom to discuss the analysis.
    • Both Executives will provide advice to help you revise your project.
  • A Second Executive-Level Screenplay Analysis
    • Via the second Story Executive and based on the revised draft, these notes are more focused on the development prospects of the piece, its place in the market, and examining the material with an eye towards production.
  • A Second Story Executive Meeting
    • Both executives will again be present to discuss how the project has progressed.
    • This meeting is to further discuss the project’s current state and outlook.
    • Recommendations for matching Writing Gigs will also be provided.
Please note that these notes are designed for advanced writers,such as those who have or are ready for representation. The critique will be intense. At the ISA, we believe that the best reward for strong writing is strong criticism. This is all to ensure that the material and the writer are fully prepared to compete in the industry.

About our Story Executives:

Shaun McLaughlin is a producer/writer. His production sensibilities and creative savvy has contributed to the production, writing, and development of some of entertainment’s most treasured properties. He has produced and contributed to several high-profile projects, including Pinky and the Brain (Emmy Award winner), Animaniacs (Emmy Award winner), Batman Beyond (Emmy-award winner), Static Shock (Humanitas Award), and the two-time Emmy Award-nominated The New Batman/Superman Adventures as well as Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. He left Warner Bros. to produce the feature film Gene-Fusion. All in all, he has worked on over 400 episodes of television and four feature films. He has also written live-action scripts for some very familiar names and has 2 of his plays produced. He is currently in editing for the short film The Last Night of the TwiKnight. He holds an MFA in writing from the University of British Columbia and taught in the SUNY system for almost ten years.

Jeffrey Ryan Moraleshas been consulting writers and producers for over ten years. His clients have grown from learning the basics of screenwriting to selling projects for up to six figures. This is via a rigorous style of commentary which always rewards strong writing with strong criticism. For any kind of story, he ensures that a draft lives up to its writer's vision. At the ISA, he trains and coordinates our reading team and reviews all screenplay notes and contestevaluations. He has edited hundreds of notes and overseen tens of thousands of contest submissions.

For any kind of story, he ensures that a draft lives up to its writer's vision.  At the ISA, he trains and coordinates our reading team and reviews all screenplay notes and contest evaluations. He has edited hundreds of notes and overseen tens of thousands of contest submissions.
