Dublin born and raised, I studied Musical Theatre at Laine Theatre Arts and Speech & Drama at LAMDA, both in London. I've lived in Zurich, Vienna, Stuttgart and Berlin, but moved to New York after winning a Green Card in the lottery (YUP!), a place I now call home. After studying improv at UCB, Screenwriting at Gotham Writers and five short years later, I became a US citizen. I love dogs and I’m in a love/hate relationship with CitiBike. I’m passionate about comedy in all forms: stand-up, improv, sketch, but in particular, half hour comedy. I’m a huge fan of writers who create material for themselves like Lena Dunham, Issa Rae and Phoebe Waller-Bridge and even though I’ve seen every episode of Derry Girls I just love to have it on in the background when I’m cooking or curating my shoe horn collection (just kidding, I don’t cook.) **********************************************************I believe in the full expression of the human condition and I think it’s important for writers not to censor themselves even when a first draft is rougher than a dog’s bollox.
