Andrew is a writer, director and producer who has worked in film and television for over twenty years. He originally worked as a writer/director/producer running his production company Still Life Video. In this capacity he produced content for TV including the TV show Rocky Star and numerous music videos.
He then worked for Screen Australia, Australia’s main development agency as a development executive, where he read and advised on hundreds and hundreds of scripts.
In 2006-2007 Andrew formed his production company Mysterious Light and directed and co-produced the feature film he had written, Black Water. Black Water sold to 80 countries and was released theatrically in UK, Australia, Mexico, Poland, Japan and Malaysia. It was nominated for both IF and AFI awards.
Andrew wrote, directed and produced his second feature, The Reef, in 2010. Starring Damian Walsh-Howling and Gyton Grantley The Reef sold to 105 countries. It was released theatrically in Japan, Mexico, Poland, Malaysia and Australia. The Reef was invited to numerous film festivals including Pusan, SITGES, Brisbane and Singapore film festivals.
In 2011 Andrew was the only Australian director chosen to be part of the feature film the ABC of Death. The ABC of Death was distributed by Magnet releasing in 2012.
Andrew next made the feature film, The Jungle. The Jungle is a low budget supernatural survival thriller that was shot as a found footage film. It made its budget back within a year.
In 2020 Andrew directed a “sequel” to Black Water, Black Water Abyss, starring Jessica MacNamee (The Meg, Immortal Combat) and Luke Mitchell (Agents of Shield, The Code). Andrew has just finished helming, The Reef :Stalked which will be released in 2022.
