Arnetta LaShun Ellis is a 25-year industry veteran, with experience in talent representation, development, television and film production and music. Over the years, she has worked at major studios, major record labels and with A-list talent.
Her most recent post was as the Project Manager for Jennifer Lopez. Prior to this position she worked in television at Paramount Studios; music at Motown Records and with the WB Network as a Music Supervisor, allowing her the opportunity to work with top artists, Queen Latifah and Rihanna.
However, her passion for making films led her to return to school and become a non-traditional student. Her journey has taken her from Santa Monica College, to New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, to the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts where she received her BA Degree in Film and Television Production.
Writing and Directing has always been a burning desire for Arnetta. She made her writing and directing debut with the short film Airport Girl and her follow up short film, Break the Silence, premiered at LA Live's Regal Cinema in an Academy Award qualifying festival.
Arnetta's sincere passion for bringing the human condition and spirit to the screen will keep her busy for years to come. To date, she has written two feature screenplays, a half-hour comedy spec and has written and directed several Indie short films that have been in various film festivals.
Her current short film, Hope, takes a poignant look at grief and its effects on the human spirit.
