Art Arutyunyan is a writer-director from Uzbekistan raised in an Armenian family with two sisters, so females ruled. Art speaks fluent Russian. He studied storytelling by watching Russian and Soviet cinema. Art moved to Los Angeles to pursue interests in visual media of fashion and film. Originally trained as a fashion designer, Art has designed merchandise for major fashion retailers before transitioning to film production as a writer/director. Art’s scripts won at the London International Screenwriting competition, placed quarterfinalist at ScreenCraft and the top 10% at the Academy Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting. Art develops TV pilots, series and feature film projects that range in genre and format. Some of Art’s films as a writer / director / producer have played in multiple film festivals worldwide and placed as finalists. Art's projects have been distributed worldwide on VOD, cable, DVD/Blu-Ray & various streaming apps.
