A graduate of USC Film School, Bill has written two highly-rated original films on assignment for SyFy, Silent Warnings and Alien Siege, sold two stories to Star Trek: Voyager, and optioned over a dozen scripts.
He was Chairman of the non-profit Scriptwriters Network from 1997-2004, and later served on their board as Chairman Emeritus. Among his other accomplishments, Bill ran the Network’s annual Carl Sautter Screenwriting Competition, which helped launch the careers for several prominent writers; co-conceived and ran “Story to Glory,” a writer-focused screening series at Arclight Hollywood; and organized and moderated a hugely popular “Writing the Hollywood Blockbuster” event, featuring Shane Black, David Hayter, Mark Fergus and Terry Rossio.
A top script consultant and teacher known as “The Log Line Doctor,” Bill has taught classes, moderated panels, and coached screenwriters at numerous industry events, including Screenwriting Expo, Sherwood Oaks College, the Scriptwriters Network, Screenwriting World, and The Great American Pitchfest.
He has contributed to several popular screenwriting books, including “The 60-Second Pitch,” “Q&A: The Working Screenwriter” and “Now Write! Screenwriting.”
Bill’s current projects include The Unsilenced Warrior, a sci-fi action script inspired by his deaf spouse; The Blood of Pool, a Horror/Fantasy limited series based on a popular book and “true” vampire legend; The Legend of Croglin Grange, a Gothic horror romance; Live and Let Buy, an action comedy; Alien Evil, a sci-fi thriller; and Death Wish Daisy, a psychological thriller.
His first novel, The Vamurai Prophecy, based on his fantasy action screenplay, is currently available on Amazon.
