I create surreal, carefully constructed stories that dissect love, morality, oppression, identity crises, alienation, and stagnation by catapulting characters into absurd, almost comically juxtaposed worlds where they must use self-examination as a tool for escape and redemption.
Background:
I guess it all began with me hanging out of the back of a moving van as I threw raw meat to a big grizzly bear, so the cameraman could get the perfect shot. Yeah, I started in production, reality television to be exact. But, it wasn’t all bad, I got to party with rock stars, shoot guns off with bikini girls in the mountains and even got to stand in as a prostitute monkey, while the real monkey sat in her air-conditioned trailer, watching tv.
After years of that, I decided to move back into development, which was a lot tamer, but exciting in other ways. I got to be creative! They liked my ideas! And I was reading tons of scripts and giving coverage.
But, no matter what my preoccupations, I was writing. At night, on the weekends, in my car on a break… I wrote. I spent hours, days, years honing my craft in the hopes of producing something different, something that would make people think (and maybe even give them a chuckle).
Since then, I’ve written numerous features, shorts, and pilots, some of which have been optioned and/or placed in prestigious contests.
Seeking representation and insightful producers and directors.
