Biography

My day job is teaching acting in a rural public school system. For the last 24 years, my Talented Theatre high school students and I have created (71) 20 to 30 minute shorts that explore social issues through drama or comedy. The students develop the stories in screen treatment session. I write the screenplays. We are grant funded with an annual budget of approximately $12,000. We hire professional actors for adult roles. (Many of them work at a reduced rate because they believe in our project.) We contract with a videographer to video, light, do sound and edit. We hire local musicians to create original music for the movies. Below is a link to several years of our movies.

In 2011 I was named Louisiana Film Maker of the year by the Strawberry Jam Film Festival that was held in Hammond, LA.

Prior to my present job I taught public speaking and theatre at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hamond, LA. for six years. Before that I worked for 12 years as a reporter, editor, photographer and advertising rep for two jointly-owned weekly newspapers. I also taught for a year at L.S.U. and managed a the Baton Rouge High School radio station for a year.

For over 25 years I had a photography studio, doing everything from commercial and industrial work to weddings and portraits.

I have won several national, regional and state awards for my plays.

I have an IMDb acting page. Most notable: Where The Crawdads Sing, True Detective (Season 1), Mudbound and Killer Joe.
