Dale Griffiths Stamos is an award-winning playwright, screenwriter, and director. Dale has written six short films—three of which she directed—which have been official selections at over 70 film festivals, including Palms Springs Shortfest, LA Shorts International, Dances with Films, New York Shorts International, and The Newport Beach Film Festival. They have garnered two audience and eight jury awards. She has penned three feature-length screenplays which have been named finalists or semi-finalists in various screenplay competitions including Creative World Awards, Story Pros, and the New York City International Screenplay Awards, among others. Two of her comedy short screenplays have won awards at the Austin Comedy Short Film Festival, and the NYC Downtown Short Film Festival. She has written four full length plays, two of which have been produced and two newer plays which have received staged readings or workshops. Her short plays have been produced around the country and abroad. She is the recipient of the Heideman Award from Actors Theatre of Louisville, and is a top-ten winner, twice, in the Writers Digest Stage Play Competition. Most recently, her new full length play, Blue Jay Singing in the Dead of Night received a Zoom reading in 2021 through the University of California Santa Barbara Launch Pad program. Dale is also co-author of the non fiction book RenWomen: What Modern Renaissance Women Have to Teach Us About Living Rich, Fulfilling Lives. Additionally, she is on the faculty of the Santa Barbara Writers Conference where she leads a workshop on story structure. She has also led story workshops at the San Miguel de Allende Writers Conference.
