Biography

David M. Stamps is a 56-year-old, LGBT, Black, Disabled Veteran Artist w/ PTSD.

As an award-winning Writer/Producer and CEO of Spoken World Entertainment, he’s currently in salary talks with Galaxy Digital, a Block chain and Web3 company annual revenue $10-20MM. They’re interested in partnering to create a diversified subsidiary through his production company.

Stamps has been selected as a 2024 Office Hours Resident for Social and Cultural Impact at The Kennedy Center due to his award-winning (Chosen as finalist for AITAF by Pulitzer Prize winner, Paula Vogel)

Choreopoem (Think “For Colored Girls by Ntozake Shange” though this poetry play with dance edifies the Black man dramatically decreasing the amount of unarmed Black men killed in the street) entitled, “The Black Bullet Dichotomy AKA The BBD.” 

The BBD is from Stamps’ Anthology Series -The Other Side -where (Conscious) Hip Hop meets The Twilight Zone! He created, from inception to completion, multiple high concept screenplays, plays, and TV episodes, and webisodes based on this Intellectual Property.  He’ll fulfill his spatial residency to add choreography, a score and deify the female protagonist, THE POETESS, using Egyptian Mythology.  

Which David will produce in his latest brainchild, “RE-CONNECT VET PROJECT.”

THE RE-CONNECT VET PROJECT is a life-enhancing, gender-affirming presentation of the BBD as a live-immersive, multi-media experience for “dis-connected” veterans (veterans not using the VA’s vast support and facilities) and the VA staff, tasked with gender-affirming and life-enhancing health care for all vets. With the goal of performing it at military spaces, globally.

SARAH STEIN, Director of Arts Therapy at the St. Albans VA, will provide the space.  David will produce it followed by an OLD TRIBE TO NEW TRIBE STORY TIME he’ll facilitate, a 30–45-minute talk to have the VETERAN SENIORITY conversation.

Through, The Veteran Artist Advocacy Project, David’s non-profit, 501 © 3 pending- David's been receiving aid in acquiring discretionary funding from Michael Scholl, Veterans Affairs Coordinator from the office of Queens Borough President Donovan Richard Jr. for the actual performance. Date, TBD.

Stamps is the Artist-in-Residence, for Senator Leroy Comrie’s Veteran’s Advisory Board, in St. Albans, Queens.
