I have recently finished an authorized screenplay on the life of Joey Dee who had a #1 hit in 1962 named ‘THE PEPPERMINT TWIST’. Joey made The Peppermint Lounge the number one-night club in the world. We are in the process of finding a production company or studio to make the film. I wrote and produced a controversial film, a 21-minute short named ‘THE CURE' a film about justice to a repeat child molester. I've was hired to write a screenplay about the life of country superstar GEORGE JONES. His widow, Nancy Jones, and producer Mark Koch, chose me after interviewing several Hollywood screenwriters. The film’s budget was fifteen million plus dollars. I was paid $25,000.00 to write it plus $172,500.00 upon the film being greenlit. I finished the screenplay right before Covid shut everything down. Just recently, Nancy Jones was severely ill with Covid so the screenplays status is unknown. My screenplay, DECEPTION, a screenplay about alocksmith who moonlights as a thief, finished in the top 10 at the San Francisco Indie Film Festival. I was a locksmith in SF for 15 years. I was hired by the producer of Lost in Space, Black Dog and others, to write a faith-based feature drama. I am a co-writer of a TV series called 'The Last Supper. We have 8 completed episodes. I have written a novel based on 2 of my screenplays, Into the Mystic, and the sequel, Into the Mystic II, currently available on Amazon.  Over 2500 copies have been downloaded on Amazon. Producer Mark Koch, Lost in Space, Black Dog and others, optioned INTO THE MYSTIC for 2 years and did nothing with it. He wrote to his agent at CAA the following: “On another note, I am BLOWN AWAY with Garry Hicks and his writing gift. After just reading two of his scripts, I did a deal with him and optioned all eight and have attached Prelude Pictures to produce. That said, PLEASE read “Into the Mystic”. It is definitely one of the top three screenplays I have ever read in the last 20 years. I am crazy about this movie.
