Heather Hamel is an award-winning novelist and screenwriter who likes to tell stories about ordinary people facing extraordinary situations. She writes both in the feature and television worlds, focusing on female-driven thrillers. She learned the art of storytelling when she worked as a ghost story-teller to pay her way through college at the University of North Florida, where she earned her Masters degree in Special Education.  Her recently optioned feature thriller, THE STORM, was a finalist for the ISA Fast-Track Fellowship.
