From IMDB: Jason Allen is a writer and filmmaker from Nashville, TN. He is also a wilderness guide, nature photographer and award-winning journalist. His first produced screenplay was the 2009 feature comedy Lucky Fritz, starring Corey Feldman and Julia Dietze. Since then he's won Best Screenplay honors at the Nashville Film Festival, San Diego Film Awards, Mountain of Laughs Comedy Fest, TSA Screenwriting Awards, and Artlightenment Film Festival among others, and is a seven-time finalist of the Nashville Film Festival Screenwriting Competition. His scripts have also been finalists in the ScreenCraft and ScriptVamp competitions. His writing credits include the award-winning short films You Destroy Me, American Sock and That Smell. American Sock won Best Short Film at eight different film festivals, while That Smell screened at over 80 film festivals in 15 countries, including the prestigious SAG-AFTRA Short Film Showcase at New York's Robin Williams Center. Most recently, his films have won Best in Show at the Push Film Festival, Best Screenplay at Video Hackers-Italy, Audience Choice Award at the Flagler Film Festival, and Best International Short at the Mestre Film Fest in Venice. His film Black Friday Man won Best Comedy at LaFF-VIN, an annual festival hosted by the Red Skelton Museum of American Comedy. In August of 2020, his feature script A Greenville Christmas was optioned by L.A.-based Brainstorm Media. In addition to having had many of his screenplays produced, Allen has worked on several assignments, including writing an untitled animated feature for Singapore's Egg Story Creative Productions. As a journalist, he has won three Associated Press Managing Editors Awards for feature writing. His writing and photography have appeared in numerous books, magazines and newspapers.
