Joseph Hooten is an award-winning writer-director based in Los Angeles. He currently works as a television executive at John Wells Productions where he has covered shows such as MAID, SHAMELESS, ANIMAL KINGDOM, and RESCUE: HI SURF amongst others. Joe is passionate about telling emotional, provocative stories, often following unseen heroes or underdogs, that cover a range of genres. He grew up in the Southern US and in 2015 he graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts as a first-generation college student and a scholarship recipient. He now lives on a sailboat, and he is also dyslexic.
