Kara Raynaud began her career as a Makeup Artist on KIDS, a critically acclaimed film produced by Christine Vachon and directed by Larry Clark. She soon transitioned into Screenwriting & Directing and has written several projects, many of which have been optioned by notable producers including her project BLUEBELL which was optioned by Academy Award-nominated producer, Larry Meistrich. Kara has also worked as a Writer and Director in New York City theatre and film. In 2006, she wrote and directed THE QUEEN OF GREENWICH VILLAGE, a comedy pilot starring Anne Meara and Tony Award-winning actress Carole Shelley. Kara considers her studies with Herbert Berghoff and Susan Batson the cornerstone of all of her work and is a life-long member of The Susan Batson Studio in New York and The Wimpole Writer’s Group in Los Angeles.
