Biography

KATRINA JAXSON is a writer and producer who tells stories that are unapologetic, with a sense of conviction, allowing her characters to make mistakes, challenge norms, and embrace their flaws. A winner of the inaugural Phoenix Award at the Page Turner Awards for her script “C.R.E.A.M.,” Katrina’s work has also earned accolades from Page International, ScreenCraft, WeScreenplay, Fresh Voices, and Shore Scripts, showcasing her talent for creating stories that empower and inspire.

A native of Santa Barbara, California, Katrina overcame a tumultuous childhood marked by adversity and displacement. Her journey from foster homes to becoming a teen mother at sixteen shaped her unique storytelling perspective, infusing her scripts with themes of resilience, hope, and triumph. Currently, a Content Clearance Analyst, with almost two decades of experience at WBD (HBO), Katrina has sharpened her skills alongside some of the best writers in the industry and brings industry insight and sharp storytelling to every project.

When she's not writing or travelling the world, Katrina uses her platforms to mentor emerging writers while striving for long-term goals, including joining a writers' room and securing a first-look deal. A firm believer of God's timing, Katrina is driven by her mission to create stories that resonate, uplift, and redefine the power of storytelling.
