I'm a screenwriter and novelist branded in edgy, broad-audience/genre material that involves children and/or young people in primary roles. Previously, I had a long career as a 6th grade teacher.
My works have been optioned twice and I've also earned 3 "shopping agreement" options. My work has won places and Top Ten Finalist honors in numerous screenplay competitions. I've also optioned several books and adapted them for features and/or TV series.
I've also written several novels published by Short On Time Books of Florence, AZ. and completed one write-for-hire co-author project, a novel called "The Green Cathedral", which was traditionally published by Level 4 Press, a company who creates literary IP for film adaptation.
I'm an alumni of Screenwriting U's ProSeries basic screenwriting program as well as their Master of Screenwriting Certificate professional-level screenwriting program.
My goal is to create unique projects, make connections in the industry and eventually find the right producers, directors, actors and studios who have a passion to bring my work to life. I find that being a "new" writer brings with it lots of challenges, but my work is solid, industry tested, unique and authentic. It speaks for itself, and at some point, I'll find such like-minded connections on the "inside" who will help me move it forward.
