Marlowe is an interdisciplinary artist who recently graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he wrote, directed, and composed music for a visual-audio moodboard exploring queerness in the horror genre as his final piece. His work is grounded in researching the vast and intersectional history and culture of the queer and transgender community.
In 2022 his feature length trans-centred soccer rom-com with collaborator Kate Bates won first place at the ISA Fellowship Track and was a finalist for the Sundance Development Track and the Big Apple Film Festival. The script won first place at LGBTQ+ Toronto and LGBTQ+ LA Film Festival. The following year he created an oral history archive of audio-visual recorded conversations with transmasculine and non-binary people about their experiences playing soccer, which he showed at a curated event centred on uplifting trans voices in sports.
In 2024 he has worked on documenting voices of youth in insecure housing, organised his local trans pride, and started work on an upcoming documentary on the history of healthcare in the UK.
Recently he has completed three horror movie screenplays delving into different aspects of trans experiences, as well as gained a space at Northern Film School to study an MA in Documentary Film-Making.
