Biography

Born in Athens, Greece, Miranda grew up in a multicultural world between Teheran, Iran and Lugano, Switzerland, making landfall in America at the invincible age of twenty-one.  Her diverse and multilingual background has created a resilient voice grounded in the human need for attachment.  Whether a historical romance, a comedy or  tragedy set in landscapes as varied as a battlefield, a villa by the lake, or the misty cliffs of an east coast lighthouse, the lives of her vibrant characters test the fragility of being.  Miranda received  a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and completed a three-year residency at the University of Virginia.  After twenty years of clinical work, she retired in 2018 to live her passion as a storyteller.
