Rama Teja is a gay, South Asian writer from Texas who is recovering from the shock that a three-hour arduous hike is an acceptable first date in LA!  He was born in Hyderabad, India, and moved to Texas when he was 11 years old. He is yet another brown guy who studied Engineering and works in tech because it’s a “safe path”.  After a quarter-life crisis and some deep introspection, he mustered the courage to pursue his dream – Hollywood, baby! He took online classes at NYFA and workshops at the University of Houston over the last few years to learn the craft. Emotional, grounded stories that connect with a wide spectrum of viewers are his cup of milkshake- he doesn’t like tea or coffee. He likes to explore themes related to love, family, sense of belonging, and purpose in unconventional ways.
