Randy Steinberg has a Master's Degree in Film/Screenwriting from Boston University. Randy taught screenwriting and film at Boston University and other Boston-area schools and organizations from 1999-2010. Randy has done film/tv/book review for Blast Magazine.com since 2011. Randy has been a judge of the Emerson College TV writing contest for the past four years. Randy has published three literary golf essays for "Sport Literate" (see Sport Literate.org online) and one for "Aethlon," a Journal of the Sport Literature Association. Randy has had other journalism, essay and short story work published in Boston Magazine, The Heat City Literary Review, and The Good Men Project.com. Randy has published or been interviewed for screenwriting on blogs such as ScriptShadow, The Working Screenwriter, and Vice. Randy has placed in many screenwriting contests. Most recently, his script, THIS CLOSE, was named a top 25 script in the Scriptshadow 250 contest and a winner of the Moondance International Film Festival writing competition. Randy has had screenwriting work optioned and been hired to write on assignment. He was admitted to the Boston Online Film Critics Association (BOFCA) in 2020.
