In writing I mostly training in LA and with documentaries it came from a few symposiums at the NFB in Canada and just picking up a camera and learning as I went to create 4 features and 25 shorts.  It only happened because I had a fire to tell stories.  I often didn't have a camera when I started or editing skills.  I had to borrow a camera until I could afford one through acting.  I have been able to also work on projects that won some awards and some of them were for acting I had done here in Japan (South Asian award for FOX INTERNATIONAL or making short films (THE CAR I LOVE).  I recently am working on a Sci-FI Pilot with LA help and love making mysteries.   Hope you can enjoy  some of my work in the future on youtube (www.youtube.com/user/ronreidjr) or in festivals like this one.
