Biography

After graduating from the University of Tampa with a bachelor's degree in writing and a minor in film, I went on to teach English in South Korea for four years. After returning to the U.S., I became an ESL Teacher for adult English learners. Throughout my journey, I continued to work on my passion which is screenwriting. Many of my screenplays involve a certain "monster" in my 7 Monsters Universe. Most of my main characters are outcast teenagers who struggle through several life dilemmas, including the "monster" within. However, I continue to experiment with genres and have also written dramas. My favorite thing to do as a writer is to challenge myself, whether that may be writing a script with "shaky-cam", writing in a genre outside my comfort zone, television writing, or of course, thinking outside the box. My accomplishments include the Senior Writer's Award at my University, two published books on Amazon, and numerous placements in notable screenplay contests. I see each completed screenplay as a stepping stone into becoming a better screenwriter.
