A young Latinx couple travels to NYC for the first time where their fears about renting a bed and breakfast become reality. As they become separated and terrorized, it becomes apparent that their B&B host has plans for them beyond renting a room.

While the outlandish teens struggle to find and accept their identities, a level-headed mother works hard at keeping the multiracial family down to earth in spite of its job-jumping patriarch who almost drives them to ruin with his continual get-rich-quick schemes.

Three wimpy teens stumble upon a book of spells and are forced to use it while they undergo a perilous, race against time journey with their bullies to rescue a friend from certain death. They become unlikely heroes and not only defeat the bad guys but also change within.

A boy realizes that he is living in a coma at the same time his parents accept that he is gone for good and will allow the doctor to pull the plug. Now the race is on for the boy to find a way out of the world he created before it is too late.
