A sold, produced and award-winning screenwriter, Sean Mick was born and raised in Northern California where he studied film at Sonoma State University.
Sean refined his craft under many of Hollywood’s top script gurus... such as Christopher Vogler, John Truby and Robert McKee. His cinematic “Patron Saints” include Howard Hawks, Sam Peckinpah and Michael Mann, whose films have deeply influenced his storytelling.
A devotee of the late Joseph Campbell's pioneering work in mythology, Sean enjoys sharing his unique perspective on screenwriting with aspiring writers at Western Nevada College.
Sean is active in the local Northern Nevada film scene as a member of the Carson Cinema Club (C-5), where he hosts monthly film screenings and analyzes classic films on their weekly radio show. He also serves as a judge for the Reno-based Silver State Storytellers ongoing series of short film contests.
He resides in Carson City, Nevada, near beautiful Lake Tahoe, with his lovely wife and two very pampered cats.
