Shayna Weber is a screenwriter, producer and director who loves defiant characters who refuse to be put in a box (much like herself) and her focus is in the genres of horror, comedy and a combination of both.
Shayna and her writing partner, Clarissa Jacobson, under their Rebel Minx banner, recently sold their first horror feature, Bruha, which is in post-production. She also produced the award-winning horror-comedy short, Lunch Ladies which has been in more than 100 festivals around the world and won forty-six wins as well as worldwide distribution, and directed its follow-up short, VIF (Very Important Film) to answer to the naysayers who complained a horror-comedy wasn’t “important enough.”
Shayna has over twenty years of experience in production, having produced unscripted shows such as RuPaul’s Drag Race, So You Think You Can Dance and VH1’s Bands Reunited among others. Besides a lot of problem solving, her years on reality shows have given her a plethora of weird knowledge about things like underwater currents, how to make an apocalypse happen for $100 and the ins and outs of hidden camera pranks.
She works for International Screenwriters’ Association as a Creative Executive and is part of TwinBridges Screenwriting Salon.
