Biography

Educator and freelance writer from the small, but beautiful town of Poplar Bluff, MO.  I am married with one daughter and a son-in-law, two grandchildren, and two pets. My main writing loves are Young Adult Literature, Screenwriting, and playwriting. I have several interests besides writing but my main ones are following the Cardinals baseball team, reading, and listening to music. I've had several plays published and some fiction. In the last year, I have had three novels published, one YA contemporary and two fantasies. The sequel to my young adult novel has been accepted for publication. I have been a quarterfinalist in the Bluecat Screenplay Competition. I have been a finalist in the Wiki Fast Screenplay Competion and in the SYS six-figure contest. In addition, I was a quarterfinalist in the Fresh Voices Screenplay Competition, and an honorable mention in the Hollywood Screenplay Contest.  Also, I have sold one comedy screenplay and optioned a horror screenplay.
