Tazeen Chowdhury is a Bangladeshi-born American writer, author of the Best-selling book Brown Girls Rise up! Practical Advise For Desi Girls to Get What They Want. Tazeen is committed to promoting multiculturalism and shedding light on issues in the South-Asian community. She is passionate about empowering desi women to overcome cultural barriers and societal pressures while honoring their luminous ethnic identity. A former Award-winning School Foodservice Director with 22 years of work experience Tazeen advocated for children’s health where she played a pivotal role in policy-making and legislation to improve school meals across the country. Tazeen took a leap of faith in the second part of her life to pursue her dream of becoming a screenplay writer and is currently pitching her movie - Memoirs Of An Alien   which is based on her own immigrant experience.
