Biography

Todd’s film career began as a kid in Vermont, after he discovered his late father’s old Super-8 equipment in the attic and made many 3-minute sci-fi/fantasy epics.  He carried on to study film at Emerson College in Boston, graduating cum laude.

Once in L.A., Todd was hired to adapt Ramsey Campbell's horror novel, Nazareth Hill into a screenplay.  He also adapted the biography of Hawaiian cultural icon Eddie Aikau, Eddie Would Go, for Your Half Pictures.  Todd’s original screenplay, Awakening, was a top-10 Finalist in the prestigious Nicholl Fellowship.  All four of his other original screenplays also have placed highly in the Nicholl, as well as the Austin Film Festival, BlueCat, American Zoetrope, and others.

Todd also writes for animation, scripting episodes of Warner Bros.’ Wacky Races, DreamWorks’ Voltron: Legendary Defender, Hasbro Studios’ Micronauts, Warner Bros.' The Misadventures of Master Moley, and more.

Recently, he sold his original sci-fi animated series Dark Star Squadron to Crunchyroll with Zoe Saldana attached.

Additionally, Todd has written and produced hundreds of hours of nonfiction TV for the likes of Discovery, National Geographic, and more. Recently, his sci-fi short story “Midnight at the Oasis” was published in the anthology Diner Stories.

Todd lives in Sherman Oaks with his wife and two boys.
