Todd is a novelist, screenwriter, and Navy pilot living in San Diego. His debut thriller novel, "Looking Into the Sun", (published by Pandamoon Publishing) in February 2016 (author profit donated to Save the Children).
His adapted thriller screenplay from his novel, titled THE SHATTERED SKY, was optioned in August 2016, ranked in the top 20% of the 2017 Nicholl Fellowship, and is currently in pre-production with Sleeperwave Films (Jimmy Keyrouz attached as director).
His drama feature, THE KEEPER (Previously titled FOLLOW YOUR SHADOW), dealing with veteran suicide issues, was optioned by Bridge and Acorn Entertainment in August 2021, was shot on location along portions of the Appalachian Trail in September 2023, and is now in post-production (with a theatrical distribution date of May 2024).
He recently optioned the rights to adapt the feature documentary, HELL OR HIGH SEAS, into a narrative feature about the true story of a former-U.S. Navy Rescue Swimmer who sailed around Cape Horn in a 25-foot sailboat.
Todd is an alumnus of the (invite only) 2019, 2020, and 2021 Stowe Story Labs and is currently a fellow in the 2023-2024 season of the Writer's Guild Foundation Veteran Writers Project.
