My name is Ushmey Chakraborty. I’m from Mumbai, India and now living in LA. I made an independent feature (funded myself) called “Life, Somewhere”, which went on to win an award at the Canada International Film Festival when I was twenty-one years old. I have also worked on three big-budget films, ranging from a Second A.D to a Second Unit Director. I came to LA to study screenwriting at the New York Film Academy, whereupon I have written two features, one pilot and one tv-spec. My feature ended up at the Academy Nicholl's Top 15% out of 6000 submissions. My Pilot is currently a Quaterfinalist at the Screencraft TV Pilot Launch Competetion. I'm currently interning at two productions, both for Development.
