In this video, meet Christan van Slyke, she shares her industry wisdom bit about finding your writing routine & aligning with the right partners. Born and raised in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex, Christan has always had a love for the film industry. She began her film career while living in Seattle in 2008, acquiring the opportunity to work on many shorts and the feature, The Details, alongside Tobey Maguire, Elizabeth Banks, Ray Liotta and Laura Linney. It was then that she realized writing was her home in the film world. She then acquired her Master's Screenwriting Certification via Gotham School for Writers in 2010. She has been writing ever since, and has had multiple scripts produced. She now resides in the DFW area with her family and is represented by her manager, Tammie Smith and Smith International Productions. Continuing to write, she enjoys exploring all genres. Many of her scripts, such as Watchdogs, Not in a Million Years, High Stakes and The Feeler, have been acquisitioned and are slated to be produced in 2021-2022.
