Imagine This Women's International Film Festival: Three Characteristics Your Script Must Have
4 years ago
In collaboration with International Screenwriters' Association for a class on the 3 Crucial Characteristics Your Script Must Have. The class will be led by the ISA's Director of Education and consultant/writer/producer, Max Timm.
Make your screenplay stand apart. Whether you are revising your script, writing your first draft, or creating ideas, this course gets you off to a fast start towards a marketable script. A screenplay must be attractive, moving, and fresh (original story, characters, dialogue, and action).'
--Voice and Originality
--Logistical and Character Progression
--Proper Formatting and Scene Writing
As you can see from the topics, they're rather open-ended! Max will hone in on the details of each, and methods to enhance them, little-by-little, throughout the development of your project (feature or TV). Max focuses his lectures on education so that writers come away with approaches and processes that they will be able to use on every script going forward. Education is key to the development of your career, so take the first step in creating a successful one by jumping into this lecture. Get your notebooks and questions at the ready - there will be plenty of time for a Q&A at the end.
