Logline: Fresh out of the Ivy League, Summer Evans' first day on her first real job is a baptism by fire at the Department of Human Services in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She quickly learns that when the cops, firefighters and doctors have all gone home, the real work has just begun for the unsung heroes known as social workers.
Award-Winning Writers: Adelita Lopez & Amanda Lopez Lita grew up on the dusty community theater stages of Odessa, Texas, received a Bachelor’s degree in Acting & Writing from the University of Evansville, IN and spent her twenties on the storefront theater stages of Chicago. Shifting to film/tv, she has been a working actor in Los Angeles since 2006 and a proud SAG-AFTRA member since 2015. In 2019 she launched Luna Loba Creative, a production company with the mission of telling “stories of the soul.” Luna Loba Creative’s debut project is an 18 minute short film titled, The Good Balloon – a semi-autobiographical true miracle story written & produced by and starring Lita Lopez. The film hit the 2021 festival circuit with 10 official selections and multiple awards, including Best Indie Short, Best Women Short, Best Actress and a People’s Choice Award. Recent on-screen credits include work for Netflix, Amazon, HBO, Nickelodeon, ABC, NBC, FreeForm & other networks, on shows such as Ratched, Good Girls Revolt, Insecure, Henry Danger, The Conners, Telenovela, Young & Hungry & more.

As a professional listener, she has heard more than her share of true stories about defying potentially insurmountable odds, and clinging on to the sometimes foolish feeling of hope. She is most often a keeper of the light for others, at times; she holds it for them until they are able to grasp it again, move forward, and shine on. Whether her lived experiences, or those of family, friends, or a random stranger, she is continually inspired by stories of triumph, overcoming of unthinkable adversity, and the resiliency of the human spirit. Amanda is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Dance/Movement Therapist turned Screenwriter, Author, and Professional Speaker based in Texas. She is undeniably passionate about sharing the stories of inspiring people and intriguing subcultures. She whole-heartedly believes in promoting the voices of historically marginalized and underrepresented populations.
Director: Princess Monique Filmz Princess Monique, also known as Princess Monique Filmz, has come a long way from growing up in the inner city of Cleveland. From humble beginnings, she has used her life experiences to fuel her creativity and ignite her passion of storytelling embodied in her robust career. Princess Monique is an accomplished TV/film producer, director, writer, and author. She is also an alumni of the Walt Disney/ABC Directing Program: Class of 2020, which helped launch and cultivate her career as a television director. Adding to already remarkable credits, her transition into TV directing is a notable feat got started when she directed OWN hit drama Greenleaf, ABC comedy series Black-ish , NBC comedy series Grand Crew, FOX drama Our Kind of People, ABC comedy The Goldberg’s, BET+ comedy First Wives Club, Disney comedy Bunk’d and STARZ comedy Run The World to name a few.
