She recently developed a TV pilot titled We Are Here that focuses on the subject of Human Trafficking from Slavery through the present day which landed her on the development slate for the International Screenwriter's Association and was recently selected for COVERFLY'S 2021 Pitch week where she pitched the show to a major network, and the pilot also placed as a top 10 finalist in the Ermantourage Industry Next 6 competition.
As a writer, Yolanda believes in the power of producing and telling stories that deal with social issues affecting our world; especially, the African American community.
