Suicide at Noon Logline: A newly organized but suicidal woman must withstand the various objections of her friends and family and convince them to support her or be forced to cancel her perfectly scheduled upcoming suicide.

Merrit Chelsey Schmidt - Writer
Merrit Chelsey Schmidt (she/her) has an MFA in poetry from the University of Iowa Writer's Workshop and writes books of poetry under the name "Chelsey Minnis". She's written screenplays of dark comedy, artsy horror and opera biopic. A cinephile with a special interest in classic film, film noir, world cinema and opera, her sensibility tends towards things that are dark, playful, subversive and melancholy.

Paul Lindsay - Director
Paul Lindsay's visual style was born years ago on a Saturday afternoon in Queens, New York when he discovered "Kung Fu" Theater where these pieces of cinematic art fueled his off-kilter imagination for writing and directing. During his undergrad at Villanova University, Paul joined Navy ROTC and ended up in OPERATION DESERT STORM. In 2000, after earning his M.A. from The New School in NYC, Paul wrote and directed two short films, “The Marked Man” and “29”, as well as helmed spots for BET. In 2002, Paul co-wrote and directed his first feature, “G Chronicles: The Stolen Sample”, the first film in the comedic hip-hop superhero trilogy. On Oscar night in 2004, Paul moved to Los Angeles to pursue his goals. He directed “The Bro Code” series (based on the show “How I Met Your Mother”) and the critically acclaimed “Suite 7” for Lifetime Movie Networks. Years later, as a seasoned Assistant Director, he has the rare opportunity to observe and work under many prolific directors, where he still relentlessly strives toward his goal of directing, becoming part of the new generation of storytellers. As a natural story teller, Paul knows exactly what it takes to create a compelling vision and has cultivated a deep understanding of the filmmaking process as a whole. He has written 7 pilots (3 award winners), 4 features and directed numerous shorts, including 2018’s provocative “OH BABY YES” and 2020's award winning "11-95".
