ISA Roundtable: Gigs, Feedback, and Your Career

Join in on the discussion! Once again the ISA Team is getting together in a live online event to discuss the state of the industry today as well as a detailed breakdown of how to apply for Writing Gigs, how they work, and what you can do to increase your chances of getting noticed. They will also deep dive into how to receive and implement feedback on your scripts.

Our ISA community of writers is so hard working, devoted, dedicated, and determined to create success in their careers, and with this free ISA Roundtable Event, we intend to support your intentions and motivation as much as possible. So join the live event, ask as many questions as you like, and communicate with your fellow ISA writers. Let's get this second quarter of the year started off on the right foot.

NewFilmmakers LA (NFMLA) screens monthly at South Park Center. Each month, NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) presents red carpet screenings of documentary, short and feature films that have been selected from submissions from all over the world, followed by a Q&A with each films director. NFMLA provides a forum where filmmakers can be recognized for their contributions, have open audience discussions about their projects and connect with industry professionals for insight on distribution, production, acquisition and representation.

Shore Scripts was set up to help emerging screenwriters break into the industry.Shore Scripts is made up of a small number of filmmakers working in the US and UK film industry. Along with Oscar, Cannes, Emmy, Golden Globe & BAFTA winning judges, they have strong industry connections. Over 100 production companies, agents & managers are all onboard to read each year’s best scripts. They also recently set up a directors roster, creating another avenue for writers to have their work considered.
