SPECIAL GUEST: DAVID YAROVESKY David will join us to discuss his journey from being the “weird kid” into becoming a major director and his love of writing and working with screenwriters. David Yarovesky is a filmmaker, best known for directing the horror film, Brightburn, which came out in 2019. He co-wrote and directed the low-budget cult classic horror film, The Hive in 2015, has directed numerous commercials, over 80 music videos including “Guardians’ Inferno” from the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 soundtrack and the VR experience for The Belko Experiment.

While we weren't able to have our usual local gatherings across the world during the March 2020 Third Thursdays, we did host an online gathering where we chatted about staying motivated and creative during this trying time. We were also ecstatic to chat with horror writer/director/producer David Yarovesky about his journey between starting out in production to directing the James Gunn-produced & Elizabeth Banks-starring, "Brightburn." Times are uncertain, which can make it difficult, if not impossible, to focus on our screenwriting careers and goals.
