Our independent production company is seeking screenwriters to submit original romance-driven feature scripts. The ideal project captures the charm, emotional intensity, and lasting appeal of films like Pretty Woman, The Way We Were, and The Princess Bride.

We are eager to read stories that deliver heart, humor, and unforgettable character dynamics, all with an inclusive, diverse approach to modern storytelling.

What We’re Looking For:

? Timeless Romance: Writers with scripts that evoke the sweeping romance and emotional stakes found in The Way We Were and Pretty Woman, with characters whose relationships evolve in compelling ways, are highly encouraged to submit.
? Fairytale or Feel-Good: Stories can range from modern romantic comedies with fairytale-like elements (à la Pretty Woman and The Princess Bride) to heart-wrenching dramas about love, loss, and memory (like The Way We Were).
? Diverse Representation: We want to see diverse, inclusive casting and settings, bringing fresh perspectives and voices to the romance genre.
Heart and Humor: Whether you’re writing a light-hearted romantic comedy or a dramatic love story, we’re looking for scripts that balance emotional depth with moments of joy, humor, or fantasy.
? Strong Character Arcs: The focus should be on rich character development, with protagonists who face relatable, real-world challenges and triumphs in love and life.

Requirements:

? Genre: Screenplays can be in the romance, romantic comedy, or drama genres, with flexibility to blend with other genres (fantasy, historical, etc.) as long as the romance remains central.
? Script or Treatment: Completed feature-length screenplays or detailed treatments that outline the emotional and narrative arcs of the characters are required.
? Diversity Focus: Stories should reflect inclusive storytelling, representing characters from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
