We are an independent production company committed to creating diverse, inclusive projects. We’re seeking screenwriters to develop original sports drama features that tap into the emotional, high-stakes world of sports, similar to Moneyball, Field of Dreams, and Million Dollar Baby.
We’re looking for scripts that go beyond the games to explore the human stories behind them. These are stories rich with determination, passion, triumph, and loss.
What We’re Looking For:
Character-Driven Drama: Stories that explore the personal struggles and triumphs of athletes, coaches, or key figures in sports, focusing on their emotional journeys and growth.
Underdog Narratives: Scripts that capture the intensity of personal sacrifice and the drive to succeed against the odds.
Diverse Representation: We are especially interested in stories that highlight underrepresented voices, both on and off the field, via diverse casts, untold sports stories, or unique cultural perspectives.
Realism with Heart: Much like Moneyball or Million Dollar Baby, we want realistic, grounded sports narratives that are emotionally compelling, but with room for inspiration and hope.
Cinematic Potential: We are looking for stories that translate into visually powerful, cinematic experiences.
Requirements:
Genre: We are looking for sports dramas specifically. However, we are open to hybrid takes on the genre, such as a sports-thriller or sports-comedy, as long as the sports element remains central.
Script or Treatment: Completed feature-length screenplays or strong treatments that clearly outline character arcs and the emotional stakes.
Diversity Focus: Writers should aim to tell stories that embrace inclusivity and diversity in casting and themes.
If you have a sports drama that explores the heart of athleticism and human resilience, we’d love to see your work!

Want to have more success with Gigs? Here are some tips from our ISA Executives:
Successful loglines can convey a great deal of information in only one or two sentences. This includes:
1. A distinct main character that promises a strong emotional arc.
2. A clear concept and insight into how it will develop in the second act.
3. An understanding of how your unique character and clever concept are synergizing with one another.
4. An implicit tone for the project overall.
If you are struggling to encapsulate these elements into a concise logline, then we recommend submitting your project for an ISA Logline Review.
Ordering other forms of ISA Feedback can help your screenplay succeed in the highly competitive Writing Gigs environment. A writer with a track record of steadily seeking out notes and improving their portfolio is highly appealing to industry professionals.
